Fokus Nordic and Deas Asset Management join forces – a leading Nordic partner in real estate investment

Fokus Nordic and Deas Asset Management have entered into a corporate transaction whereby Deas Asset Management has become part of the Fokus Nordic Group. The merger strengthens our position as a leading Nordic real estate investment and asset management specialist with a strong presence across all four Nordic countries. The combined group manages assets worth approximately EUR 9 billion.

Fokus Nordic expanded its operations to Finland in October 2023. The Finnish team includes Anna-Maria Kowalik, with extensive experience in transactions and international investor relations, and Kirsi Koivula, who works at Heimdal Nordic, a real estate financing company within the Fokus Nordic Group.

The Deas Asset Management team in Finland continues unchanged, and client relationships will be managed by the same trusted professionals. The merger does not affect fund management or operational activities.

We manage three domestic real estate funds in Finland:

• Deas Property Fund Finland I Ky, which invests broadly in Finnish commercial properties. The Fund Manager continues to be Pekka Riikonen.
• Deas Tonttirahasto Ky and Deas Tonttirahasto II Ky, which focus on leased land investments. Both funds will continue to be managed by Markus Liimatainen.

The fund names will be updated later in spring to align with the new group structure.

In terms of asset management and real estate development, Johanna Saarivuo will continue to lead operations in Finland. Under her direction, we are involved in a number of zoning and construction projects across the country.

On the transaction side, Anna-Maria Kowalik and Henrik Eskolin are actively identifying new investment opportunities together with our extensive network. Fokus Nordic has recently participated in major real estate transactions across the Nordics, particularly within the logistics, office, residential, and retail sectors. We continue to explore new opportunities across asset classes based on our clients’ needs.

Together, we form a strong expert organisation with deep local market knowledge and an extensive international network. Our goal remains to create long-term value for our clients and be a reliable partner in real estate investment.
