The fund invests in residential plots with zoning plans located in the Helsinki metropolitan area and other growth centers. The fund is closed and therefore does not accept new investments.
Fokus Tonttirahasto Ky was established in 2019 and invests in zoned residential plots located in the Helsinki metropolitan area and other growth and regional centers across Finland. The fund owns approximately 70 plot sites with a total value of around €83 million. Of these investments, 75% are located in the Helsinki metropolitan area, with the remainder in Oulu, Tampere area, and Turku.
The fund has nearly one hundred investors, including trade unions, parishes, foundations, wealthy families, private individuals and their investment companies. It is a closed-end fund and does not accept new investments. The fund’s term ends no later than December 31, 2030.
The fund’s plot ownerships are long-term, but the shareholders of the residential buildings constructed on the plots have the right to annually redeem the plot share associated with their apartment. As a result, capital is returned to the fund, which is then used for new investments.
